Join our floral workshop on Tuesday, June 4th from 6:30-8:30 pm and learn how to create a stunning vase arrangement! In this workshop, we will cover how to process florals, learn the mechanics for creating a large floral arrangement, and valuable tips and tricks for designing your own arrangement. This workshop is great for beginners or those who have dabbled in some floral arranging in the past, but no prior experience is required.
This workshop will focus on creating a show-stopping arrangement of premium seasonal flowers and blooming branches. We will also have a photographer, Jenna, who will be taking photos throughout the evening and will capture you and your completed arrangement at the end!
In this workshop, you will:
learn different floristry mechanics such as the various tools used, wiring, and design principles to create your own arrangement
be introduced to an eco-friendly option of how to arrange florals without using floral foam
learn how to process your blooms, a critical step in floral design
get advice for sourcing your own florals
watch a live demo of Kelly creating a floral arrangement while she talks through her design philosophy
receive 1:1 feedback to guide your creative process
have an opportunity to be photographed with your centerpiece in the gorgeous studio
take home your floral masterpiece along with new skills!
Supplies needed: None! You will be provided with all the florals, tools (including a vase) and guidance you need.
Instructor Bio: Kelly (@floralgalkel) is a floral designer based in San Francisco. She is a self-taught florist who has grown her business flowering for weddings, company parties, and opening ceremonies. Kelly is passionate about sharing the world of floral design with others, so that more people can appreciate the diverse beauty of flowers!
Jenna is an amateur photographer based in San Francisco. She enjoys capturing slice of life moments that evoke a sense of connection and desires to share the sentiment with others. You can find her on the weekends exploring different parks and neighborhoods with her camera and a cup of coffee.

Before Class
Please arrive about 5 minutes before the workshop begins so I can check you in.
Age Requirement
The classes are paced for and primarily booked with adults, but I do allow ages as young as 16 years old.
Cancellation Policy
To request a cancellation and refund, you must email bri@sumiware.com. Refunds requested more than one week prior to the workshop are fully refundable or you can reschedule to a different month when available. Refunds requested within one week of the workshop are non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled.
