Fall Dinnerware Workshop- Sept. 19th & Oct. 17th

$149.00

Handbuild Your Own Plates & Bowls – Cozy Up Your Fall Table 🍂🍷🍲

Upcoming Dates:

  • September 19th from 6:30–9:30pm

  • October 17th from 6:30–9:30pm

As the nights get cooler and gatherings move indoors, there’s nothing more special than serving up a meal on pieces you’ve made with your own two hands. In this 3-hour dinnerware workshop, you’ll handbuild your very own plates and bowls—perfect for those cozy fall dinners, festive holiday spreads, or even gifting to someone you love.

Available to just 4 participants (since dinnerware takes up more space in the kiln), this workshop offers an intimate, hands-on experience. Whether you’re a beginner or ready to level up your clay skills, you’ll leave with a set of functional, heartfelt pieces ready to shine on your table.

Workshop Overview:

Hands-On Learning – Learn slab-building techniques and use wooden and plaster molds to shape your plates and bowls.
Seasonal Surface Design – Add your personal touch with texture tools, stamps, or even your own brought-from-home tools. Think autumn leaves, cozy patterns, or something timeless for holiday tables.
Create a Set – Depending on the complexity of your designs, expect to make about 4–8 pieces.

Special Notes:

⭐️ You’re welcome to bring your own molds (wood or terra cotta, under 10 inches) or stamps/textures to make your tableware even more unique. Studio Sumi will also have plenty to choose from.

What Happens Next:

At the end of class, you’ll choose your glaze color, and we’ll handle all the firings and finishing touches. Your dinnerware will be ready for pickup in about 4 weeks—just in time for setting a festive fall table or adding handmade warmth to your holiday gatherings.

Location:

Studio Sumi, 5031 Geary Blvd.

San Francisco, Ca 94118
