Crafting Love: Unleash Your Creative Sparks Together in our Pottery Date Night Workshop

This 2hr guided class is perfect for the couple looking for a unique date night experience and opportunity to reconnect with each other through clay. On Friday, May 17th from 6:30-8:30pm you will work alongside other couples as you learn handbuilding techniques to create your very own ceramic pieces. Handbuilding is a great introduction to pottery because you can build and create pieces with either a slab of clay or a clay ball, without having to use the potter’s wheel!

You and your partner will be shown examples of a few different pieces you can make and you will each make 1 unique piece. You will have templates and a bunch of tools to utilize, and of course your instructor will be there guiding everyone and assisting with questions and suggesting tips and tricks.

Once your creations are complete we will handle all of the bisque and glaze firings. We will also glaze each piece with glossy white glaze so the beautiful speckles of the brown clay show through. In 3 weeks you’ll pick up your finished pieces at Studio Sumi.

The purchase of 1 ticket covers both you and your partner. This event is BYOB.

Before Class

Please arrive about 5 minutes before the workshop begins so you can settle in before class.

Age Requirement

The classes are paced for and primarily booked with adults, but I do allow ages as young as 16 years old.

Cancellation Policy

To request a cancellation and refund, you must email bri@sumiware.com. Refunds requested more than one week prior to the workshop are fully refundable or you can reschedule to a different month if available. Refunds requested within one week of the workshop are 50% refundable.
