Equal parts spooky, cozy, and ridiculously cute.

Halloween season is officially creeping into the studio. 👻

Spend the evening with us handbuilding your very own ceramic ghost mug—a perfectly spooky little vessel for coffee, cider, tea, hot chocolate, or whatever you’ll be sipping as the weather starts to cool down.

In this 2.5-hour workshop, you’ll build your mug from clay slabs, then give your ghost its own personality with arms, a handle, facial features, and all the little details that make it yours. Go sweet and sleepy, dramatic and spooky, a little goofy, or somewhere completely unexpected.

No pottery experience needed. We’ll walk you through the process step by step while leaving plenty of room to play, experiment, and make your Boo! Mug completely your own.

  • Learn beginner-friendly slab-building techniques to construct your mug

  • Attach a handle, ghostly arms, and other sculptural details

  • Learn essential pottery skills like scoring and slipping

  • Add personality through shape, texture, and decorative details

  • Choose from our studio glazes to finish your piece

Your piece will be ready for pickup in about 4-5 weeks, and we’ll send you an email as soon as it’s out of the kiln.

Before Class

Please arrive about 5 minutes before the workshop begins so you can settle in.

Age Requirement

This workshop is designed for adults, but participants ages 16+ are welcome with a participating guardian. If you have any questions about age requirements please email bri@sumiware.com.

Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

To request a cancellation or refund, please email bri@sumiware.com. Please note: All refunds are subject to a $10 processing fee to cover transaction costs.
– Refunds requested more than one week prior to the workshop are fully refundable or you can reschedule to a different class.
– Refunds requested within one week of the workshop are 50% refundable.
– Rescheduling is available within 5 days of the start of class.
– No refunds are given within 24 hours of the start of class.
