A fresh take on weaving using clay instead of fiber✨
Upcoming Dates:
In this hands-on workshop, you’ll create a woven ceramic form using clay strips or coils, blending traditional weaving techniques with modern ceramics. The result is something textured, organic, and completely unique. Build a basket, trivet, or other woven vessel that is equal parts functional and a work of art.
You’ll be working with a warm brown, speckled clay that adds depth and character to your piece from the start.
This class is beginner-friendly but flexible enough for returning students who want to explore more layered, sculptural forms. You’ll have access to a variety of molds and forms to guide your shape, whether you’re going minimal and airy or more bold and woven.
What You’ll Do
✨ Learn how to create a woven ceramic form that holds its shape
✨ Shape clay strips and coils for strength and flexibility
✨ Build texture, movement, and structure through weaving techniques
✨ Design a piece that feels personal, functional, and one-of-a-kind
Your finished piece is perfect for fruit, bread, your Sunday farmers market haul, or those random little things that need a home—plus it doubles as a statement piece you’ll actually want out on display.
What’s Included
All materials, tools, and instruction
A fully guided, beginner-friendly experience
Aprons to keep you clean
Self-serve coffee and tea bar
Glazing and kiln firings handled by our team
The Final Touch
After class, we’ll glaze your piece in your chosen glaze color. Think: handmade, organic, and the kind of piece that somehow makes your kitchen counter look more put together.
We'll handle all the glazing and firing, and about 4-5 weeks later you'll get an email letting you know your finished piece is ready for pickup.
