A Winter Night for Wine & Clay 🍷

Winter’s here, and honestly? It’s the perfect excuse to slow down, sip on a glass of wine (we’ve got you covered), and make something beautiful with your hands.

Between the end-of-year chaos and all those cozy nights in, consider this your gentle reminder to do something just for you.

What to Expect:

🎨 Paint & Carve
You’ll start with a blank 8” ceramic plate and use colored underglazes to paint your surface. Think bold shapes, delicate linework, cozy patterns, or whatever sparks your creativity.

Once your design is down, we’ll teach you how to use the sgraffito technique (a fancy word for scratching through the paint to reveal the clay underneath). It’s relaxing, a little addictive, and makes for seriously cool results.

🎨 Pick a Glaze
Choose your final glaze finish and we’ll take care of the rest. Your piece will be clear-glazed, kiln-fired, and ready for pickup in 3 to 4 weeks.

Before Class

Please arrive about 5 minutes before the workshop begins so you can settle in. We have coat racks for you to place your jacket and belongings.

Age Requirement

This class is 21+ and participants are welcome to BYOB—alcoholic or non-alcoholic. Coffee, tea, and hot chocolate will be provided to keep things cozy.

Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

To request a cancellation or refund, please email bri@sumiware.com. Please note: All refunds are subject to a $10 processing fee to cover transaction costs.
– Refunds requested more than one week prior to the workshop are fully refundable or you can reschedule to a different class.
– No refunds or rescheduling available within 7 days of the start of class.

Sickness & COVID Policy

If you’re feeling unwell, especially with symptoms like fever, sore throat, or cough, please stay home. If you notify us at least 48 hours in advance, we’ll offer a one-time reschedule due to illness.

For COVID-related absences, you must notify us within 24 hours of the class and provide a doctor’s note to qualify for rescheduling. This helps us keep the studio safe and healthy for everyone.
