Grab your bestie, your sister, whoever makes you laugh—and join us for a laid-back, creative night at the studio. This 2-hour class is all about slowing down, making something beautiful, and soaking in good company and summer vibes. You’ll paint and carve your own ceramic plate while sipping wine and enjoying the longer evenings.

Here’s what we’ll be doing:

🍑 Paint & Carve a Summer Plate
Start with an 8" ceramic plate as your blank canvas. You’ll learn how to use colored glazes called underglazes to paint your design, then carve into it to add texture and detail. Think juicy peaches, bold blooms, sunny motifs—whatever makes you feel like summer.

🎨 Guided Techniques
Our amazing instructors will walk you through step-by-step painting and carving techniques—no experience needed. We’ll show you how to play with color, linework, and layering so your plate turns out just how you’d like.

🧡 Just Show Up, We’ve Got You
We provide everything: the plate, the tools, the paint, the apron, and complimentary wine and sparkling water to sip while you work. You can also help yourself to our self-serve Coffee and Tea Bar.

Once your plate is complete, we’ll handle the kiln firings and also apply a final clear glaze to make it microwave and dishwasher safe. In about 4 weeks you will receive an email with all of the pickup instructions 🌟

Before Class

Please arrive about 5 minutes before the workshop begins so you can settle in.

Age Requirement

This class is 21+ and participants are welcome to BYOB—alcoholic or non-alcoholic. Coffee, tea, and hot chocolate will be provided to keep things cozy.

Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

To request a cancellation or refund, please email bri@sumiware.com. Please note: All refunds are subject to a $10 processing fee to cover transaction costs.
– Refunds requested more than one week prior to the workshop are fully refundable or you can reschedule to a different class.
– Refunds requested within one week of the workshop are 50% refundable.
– Rescheduling is available within 5 days of the start of class.
– No refunds are given within 24 hours of the start of class.

Sickness & COVID Policy

If you’re feeling unwell, especially with symptoms like fever, sore throat, or cough, please stay home. If you notify us at least 48 hours in advance, we’ll offer a one-time reschedule due to illness.

For COVID-related absences, you must notify us within 24 hours of the class and provide a doctor’s note to qualify for rescheduling. This helps us keep the studio safe and healthy for everyone.
