2-Part Series: Clay and Floral Arrangement Workshop - July 7th and 28th

from $136.00
1 available
3 available

Make your own vase from scratch, then bring it to life with a custom floral arrangement 🌸

Shape a vase by hand, then return to fill it with a fresh floral arrangement — a two-part workshop designed to stretch your creativity from clay to color.

2-Part Series:

  • Monday, July 7th from 6:30–9:00pm

  • Monday, July 28th from 6:30–8:00pm

Led by Bay Area artist and floral designer Sammy Gripe, this two-part series blends the grounding, tactile nature of clay with the expressive joy of florals. With experience in both sculpture and botanical design, Sammy brings a thoughtful, playful energy to the table — and her approach is all about making pieces that feel human, comforting, and full of personality.

🌿 Part 1: Sculpt Your Vase (Monday, July 7th from 6:30–9:00pm)

In our first session, you’ll learn how to build a vase from the ground up using slab building, pinching, and coiling — three core handbuilding techniques that allow for organic, sculptural, and expressive forms. Think wavy edges, textured surfaces, and unique shapes that are as fun to make as they are to display.

Once your vase is formed, you'll choose from a palette of bright, summery glazes, and we’ll take care of firing and glazing your piece over the following weeks.

💐 Part 2: Fill It With Flowers (Monday, July 28th from 6:30–8:00pm)

Come back to your finished vase — and give it a second life with blooms. In this floral design session, Sammy will guide you through professional-level arranging techniques that are fun, approachable, and meant to be adapted to your unique piece.

You’ll learn how to:
– Clean and prep flowers for long-lasting arrangements
– Use greenery to create a natural “grid” for structure
– Understand floral types and focal points
– Play with color theory, shape, and style
– Make your arrangement feel full, balanced, and expressive

You’ll also leave with tips on where to place your flowers at home, how to trim stems, and how to keep your blooms thriving long after the class ends.

💡 What to Expect

  • A relaxed and inspiring environment with creative freedom

  • Step-by-step guidance in slab, pinch, and coil techniques

  • Thoughtful floral instruction rooted in design and longevity

  • Bright summery glaze choices to match your vibe

  • Light snacks, self-serve coffee & tea bar, and BYOB welcome

  • Come solo or bring a friend — no experience necessary

🎟 Tiered pricing starts at $136

Includes both sessions, all materials, glaze, tools, and firing.
