In this 2.5-hour handbuilding workshop, you’ll sculpt your very own ceramic wine goblet—whether you’re going for medieval chalice, modern stemless, or something totally whimsical.

And yes—the wine will be flowing. 🍷 Fuel your creativity with a glass (or two) as you design, sculpt, and decorate a goblet made completely by hand.

✨ Here’s what we’ll cover:
👐 Pinching & coiling basics (you’ll use these to shape your goblet)
🔁 How to balance form and function (yes, your goblet can be sculptural and sippable)
🎨 Surface design using colorful glazes—paint, carve, and personalize

💡 No experience needed. Just bring your imagination—and maybe a friend or two.

Before Class

Please arrive about 5 minutes before the workshop begins so you can settle in.

Age Requirement

This workshop is designed for adults, but participants ages 16+ are welcome with a participating guardian. If you have any questions about age requirements please email bri@sumiware.com.

Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

To request a cancellation or refund, please email bri@sumiware.com. Please note: All refunds are subject to a $10 processing fee to cover transaction costs.
– Refunds requested more than one week prior to the workshop are fully refundable or you can reschedule to a different class.
– Refunds requested within one week of the workshop are 50% refundable.
– Rescheduling is available within 5 days of the start of class.
– No refunds are given within 24 hours of the start of class.

Sickness & COVID Policy

If you’re feeling unwell, especially with symptoms like fever, sore throat, or cough, please stay home. If you notify us at least 48 hours in advance, we’ll offer a one-time reschedule due to illness.

For COVID-related absences, you must notify us within 24 hours of the class and provide a doctor’s note to qualify for rescheduling. This helps us keep the studio safe and healthy for everyone.
