There’s something about this time of year that makes us want to gather around a table, pour something good, and settle in for a cozy night with friends.

So we’re making goblets. 🍷

Spend the evening with us shaping your very own ceramic goblet by hand—something made for shared dinners, wine nights, holiday tables, or simply making an ordinary Tuesday pour feel a little more special.

In this 2.5-hour handbuilding workshop, you’ll sculpt your goblet completely from scratch. Go classic and refined, playful and sculptural, or somewhere in between. Whether it becomes your go-to for dinner parties, cozy nights in, or celebratory toasts, it’ll be completely your own. And yes, we’ll have the wine ready for you.

Whether you're seeking a new hobby or rekindling an old passion, I try to create all of my classes and workshops so that they are perfect for individuals of all skill levels. Studio Sumi is a community of like-minded creatives, and our collective goal is to unwind in a friendly pottery studio, and discover the joy of working with clay.

FAQs:

Before Class

Please arrive about 5 minutes before the workshop begins so you can settle in. We have coat racks for you to place your jacket and belongings.

Age Requirement

This class is 21+ and participants are welcome to BYOB—alcoholic or non-alcoholic. Coffee, tea, and hot chocolate will be provided to keep things cozy.

Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

To request a cancellation or reschedule, email bri@sumiware.com. Deadlines are measured from the scheduled start of your workshop.

More than 7 days before class: You may receive a refund of your registration payment minus a $10 processing fee, or reschedule to another available class.

7 days or fewer before class: No refunds, credits, or rescheduling are available, except for the illness exceptions below.

Illness & COVID Exceptions

If you are unwell, please stay home. Notify us at least 48 hours before class to receive a one-time reschedule due to illness, subject to availability.

For a COVID-related absence, notify us within 24 hours of the class and provide a doctor’s note to qualify for rescheduling. These are rescheduling exceptions; they do not provide a refund.

Late Arrivals & No-Shows

Workshops begin promptly and are not drop-in sessions. Late arrivals may not be able to participate or complete the project. Missed class time and no-shows are not eligible for a refund, credit, or reschedule, except where the illness requirements above have been met.

If Studio Sumi Cancels

If we cancel your workshop, you may choose a full refund or a transfer to another available class. The $10 processing fee does not apply.
