Back by popular demand, our most beloved pottery class is here for a spring! In this hands-on, beginner-friendly workshop, you’ll sculpt your own ceramic piggy bank from start to finish. Think classic pig or silly snout with a coin slot—it's your bank, your rules.

💰 What You’ll Do:

• Pinch & Build
We’ll start with two pinch pots and show you how to join them into the perfect rounded base. This simple, satisfying technique is great for beginners and super fun to master.

• Sculpt & Attach
Here’s where the personality comes in—add pig ears, a curly tail, a snout, or get creative with animal features that make your bank uniquely yours.

• Cut & Customize
Use our easy template to carve a coin slot, and if you’d like, a hole for a rubber stopper (yes, your finished pigs will have those!).

• Decorate & Glaze
Carve in details or paint on color with underglaze, We’ll then fire and finish it for you! After 4 weeks when your piggy is ready, we’ll send you an email with pick-up instructions.

FAQs:

Before Class

Please arrive about 5 minutes before the workshop begins so you can settle in. We have coat racks for you to place your jacket and belongings.

Age Requirement

This class is 16+ and participants are welcome to BYOB—alcoholic or non-alcoholic. Coffee, tea, and hot chocolate will be provided to keep things cozy.

Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

To request a cancellation or refund, please email bri@sumiware.com. Please note: All refunds are subject to a $10 processing fee to cover transaction costs.
– Refunds requested more than one week prior to the workshop are fully refundable or you can reschedule to a different class.
– No refunds or rescheduling available within 7 days of the start of class.

Sickness & COVID Policy

If you’re feeling unwell, especially with symptoms like fever, sore throat, or cough, please stay home. If you notify us at least 48 hours in advance, we’ll offer a one-time reschedule due to illness.

For COVID-related absences, you must notify us within 24 hours of the class and provide a doctor’s note to qualify for rescheduling. This helps us keep the studio safe and healthy for everyone.
