The Flower Bar: Sculpt & Paint Your Own Bloom- June 20th

$59.00

Sculpt a flower that lasts longer than a bouquet

Dates:

  • Friday, June 20th from 6:30-9:00pm

Spend a summer evening in the studio sculpting something sweet and totally your own—no experience needed. 🌼

This beginner-friendly class is fully guided, so whether you’re brand new to pottery or just don’t think of yourself as “artsy,” we’ve got you. You’ll learn how to handbuild a clay flower from scratch and bring it to life with colorful glazes, step by step, at your own pace.

Inspired by real California wildflowers (or any bloom you love), this workshop blends sculpting, surface design, and a little botanical magic into one cozy, creative night out.

What to Expect:

🌸 Pick a flower to sculpt: we’ll have some fresh blooms + wildflower guides provided
✋ Learn basic sculpting techniques with full hands-on instruction from your teacher
🧰 Use tools to shape petals, stems, and textures: we’ll walk you through all the various tools and what they can do
🎨 Paint your piece with underglazes: learn how to use colored glazes to bring your flower to life
🍵 Sip from our self-serve tea & coffee bar (or BYOB if that’s your thing)

Once your flower is made, you’ll leave your piece with us and we’ll handle all of the kiln firings and final glazing. In about 4 weeks you’ll receive an email with pickup instructions at Studio Sumi.

Whether you're coming solo, with a friend, or just need a creative reset after a long week, this one’s an easy yes. You'll leave with clay on your hands, a calm mind, and something beautiful to look forward to.
